Rexine Sofa Cleaning for homes and offices in Chawkbazar
Rexine, PU leather and bonded leather are hugely popular in Dhaka because they look smart and cost less than real leather. They need a different approach from both fabric and genuine leather: the plastic coating must be cleaned without solvents or heavy scrubbing that would strip it, and the seams must be kept dry.
Homes in Chawkbazar often have heavy wooden-framed sofa sets passed down the family, with older fabrics that need a gentler method than a modern sofa — strong chemistry and heat do damage here.
The local picture in Chawkbazar: Chawkbazar is a wholesale trading heart of Old Dhaka, famous for its Ramadan iftar market, with warehouses, chemical stores and homes tightly interleaved. Old buildings combining storage, trade and residential use, on very narrow congested lanes.
Why rexine sofa cleaning matters in Chawkbazar
We use a neutral, solvent-free cleaner, soft pads and microfibre, and clean the seams with a barely damp brush so water never gets behind the coating. Body-oil films come off, dull areas regain their original sheen, and a protective dressing slows down future cracking. Where the coating has already peeled we will tell you honestly — cleaning cannot rebuild it.
Getting to you in Chawkbazar

We regularly work around Chawkbazar Shahi Mosque, Iftar Bazar, Moulvibazar and Urdu Road, and everywhere in between.
Before you book rexine sofa cleaning in Chawkbazar
- Older sofas, gentler methods
- Many homes in Chawkbazar have heavy wooden-frame sofa sets with older fabrics. We lower temperatures and moisture and do more hand work so neither the fabric nor the timber is harmed.
- Everything is carried in
- Vehicles cannot reach most addresses in Chawkbazar. Our portable extraction machines are carried from the nearest road, so allow a little extra time on the day.
- Wood frames and water
- Old timber can release brown tannin stains if fabric over it gets too wet. We keep moisture low on these pieces to avoid that.

Seam clearing
Crumbs and grit are vacuumed out of seams before any liquid is used.
- 3
Neutral clean
A solvent-free cleaner is applied with a soft pad, panel by panel.
- 4
Wipe and dry
Residue is removed with damp then dry microfibre so nothing is left to soak in.
- 5
Dress
A protective dressing restores sheen and shields the coating from sweat and heat.

Rexine Sofa Cleaning in Chawkbazar — FAQs
Do you provide rexine sofa cleaning in Chawkbazar?
Yes. Chawkbazar is inside our regular service area and our technicians work in South Dhaka every week. Call 01622-347721 or send a WhatsApp photo of your sofa and we will confirm the next available slot.
How soon can a technician reach Chawkbazar?
Extremely constrained. Work here is planned around market hours and everything is carried in. For most bookings in Chawkbazar we can schedule within 24 to 48 hours, and often the same day for urgent jobs.
Can marker ink be removed from rexine?
Usually yes, if treated before it ages. Permanent marker that has been there for months may leave a shadow.
What is the difference between rexine and leather?
Rexine is a fabric base with a plastic (PVC or PU) coating. Leather is animal hide. Rexine does not absorb conditioner, so it is cleaned and dressed rather than conditioned.
Can you repair peeling rexine?
No — cleaning cannot rebuild a coating that has lifted. It can stop the edges catching dirt and slow further peeling. Re-upholstery is the permanent fix.
What should I use to clean rexine at home?
A cloth dampened with mild soapy water, then a dry cloth. Avoid spirit, thinner, bleach and heavily scented wet wipes.
