Rexine Sofa Cleaning for homes and offices in Uttara
Rexine, PU leather and bonded leather are hugely popular in Dhaka because they look smart and cost less than real leather. They need a different approach from both fabric and genuine leather: the plastic coating must be cleaned without solvents or heavy scrubbing that would strip it, and the seams must be kept dry.
Flats in Uttara follow a consistent pattern, so we can usually quote rexine sofa cleaning accurately from a photo and the number of seats before anyone visits.
Working in Uttara: Uttara is a fully planned township of numbered sectors, now served end to end by the metro line, and it functions almost as a self-contained city with its own schools, hospitals and markets. Sector-wise apartment blocks on a regular grid, ranging from older six-storey walk-ups to new twelve-storey blocks with lifts and generators.
Why rexine sofa cleaning matters in Uttara
Rexine fails at the coating. Harsh household cleaners, spirit, nail-polish remover and even some wet wipes soften the top layer, which is why many rexine sofas start peeling at the seat front within a couple of years. Heat and sweat speed this up, and the cracks then trap dirt that ordinary wiping cannot reach.
Getting to you in Uttara
Sector roads are wide and parking near a building is usually straightforward, which makes machine-based work here easier than in inner Dhaka.
We regularly work around Uttara Rajlakshmi, House Building, Jashimuddin, Uttara Metro Stations and Diabari, and everywhere in between.
Before you book rexine sofa cleaning in Uttara
- Drive-up access
- Uttara's road layout lets our vehicle park at the building, so the extraction machine comes up in one lift trip and rexine sofa cleaning starts on time.
- Tell the gate
- If your block has a manned gate, tell security the evening before. A technician held at the gate is the most common delay in areas like Uttara.
- Quote from a photo
- Because flats in Uttara are similar in layout, a WhatsApp photo of the sofa and the seat count is usually all we need for a fixed quote.

How it's done, step by step
- 1
Condition check
Peeling and cracked areas are noted and shown to you so expectations are clear.
- 2
Seam clearing
Crumbs and grit are vacuumed out of seams before any liquid is used.
- 3
Neutral clean
A solvent-free cleaner is applied with a soft pad, panel by panel.
- 4
Wipe and dry
Residue is removed with damp then dry microfibre so nothing is left to soak in.
- 5
Dress
A protective dressing restores sheen and shields the coating from sweat and heat.
Post-monsoon is the best time to clean sofas in Uttara — the air is drier, sofas dry fast, and a clean now removes everything the rainy season left behind before winter guests and weddings.

How soon can a technician reach Uttara?
Sector roads are wide and parking near a building is usually straightforward, which makes machine-based work here easier than in inner Dhaka. For most bookings in Uttara we can schedule within 24 to 48 hours, and often the same day for urgent jobs.
What is the difference between rexine and leather?
Rexine is a fabric base with a plastic (PVC or PU) coating. Leather is animal hide. Rexine does not absorb conditioner, so it is cleaned and dressed rather than conditioned.
Can you repair peeling rexine?
No — cleaning cannot rebuild a coating that has lifted. It can stop the edges catching dirt and slow further peeling. Re-upholstery is the permanent fix.
What should I use to clean rexine at home?
A cloth dampened with mild soapy water, then a dry cloth. Avoid spirit, thinner, bleach and heavily scented wet wipes.
Can marker ink be removed from rexine?
Usually yes, if treated before it ages. Permanent marker that has been there for months may leave a shadow.
