What is sofa cushion & cover cleaning?

Sofa cushions and removable covers carry most of the dirt on any sofa because they take the direct contact. We clean seat and back cushions on all faces, scatter cushions and bolsters, and fitted sofa covers on the cushion so they keep their shape — instead of the shrinking that often follows a machine wash.

Removable covers look like an easy home job, but many are made from fabrics that shrink 3–5% in a washing machine. That is enough for a zip that no longer closes or a cover that pulls the foam out of shape. Hot water and spin cycles also fade prints unevenly, so the washed covers stop matching the arms and back of the sofa.
