Sofa Sanitization Service for homes and offices in Wari
Sofa sanitization reduces bacteria, viruses, fungi and dust mites on and in your upholstery. It is the right choice after someone in the family has been ill, before a newborn comes home, for elderly or immune-compromised family members, and for office reception sofas that see many visitors every day.
Homes in Wari often have heavy wooden-framed sofa sets passed down the family, with older fabrics that need a gentler method than a modern sofa — strong chemistry and heat do damage here.
About Wari: Wari is one of Dhaka's oldest planned residential quarters, with heritage houses on Rankin Street sitting alongside newer apartment buildings on narrow, gridded lanes. A striking mix of century-old houses, mid-century buildings and recent apartment blocks.
Why sofa sanitization matters in Wari
Upholstery is a reservoir. Viruses and bacteria survive in fabric for hours to days, fungi grow in damp foam, and dust mites live in their millions in any sofa used daily. Wiping the surface with a disinfectant cloth does almost nothing for what is inside the fabric.
Getting to you in Wari
Lanes are narrow and often one-way; heritage buildings need careful handling and equipment is carried in.
We regularly work around Rankin Street, Baldha Garden, Wari Bazar and Tipu Sultan Road, and everywhere in between.
Before you book sofa sanitization in Wari
- Older sofas, gentler methods
- Many homes in Wari have heavy wooden-frame sofa sets with older fabrics. We lower temperatures and moisture and do more hand work so neither the fabric nor the timber is harmed.
- Everything is carried in
- Vehicles cannot reach most addresses in Wari. Our portable extraction machines are carried from the nearest road, so allow a little extra time on the day.
- Wood frames and water
- Old timber can release brown tannin stains if fabric over it gets too wet. We keep moisture low on these pieces to avoid that.
What's included
- Pre-cleaning extraction to remove soil
- Fabric-safe disinfectant by fine mist
- Full manufacturer contact time observed
- Steam sanitising where the fabric allows
- Dust-mite reduction treatment
- Anti-fungal treatment for damp foam
- Cushions treated on all faces
- Option to add mattresses and chairs
Problems this solves in Wari
- Older wooden-frame sofa sets in Wari that harsh chemicals would damage
- Elderly or immune-compromised family member
- Office reception sofa used by many visitors
- Mouldy smell in a damp ground-floor flat
- Family member recovering from flu, fever or infection
- Newborn baby coming home
How it's done, step by step
- 1
Clean first
Soil is removed so the disinfectant reaches the fibre.
- 2
Mist
Disinfectant is applied evenly by fine mist across all surfaces.
- 3
Dwell
Left for the full contact time — this is what makes it work.
- 4
Steam
Heat sanitising is added on suitable fabrics.
- 5
Air
Room is ventilated until surfaces are dry.
Post-monsoon is the best time to clean sofas in Wari — the air is drier, sofas dry fast, and a clean now removes everything the rainy season left behind before winter guests and weddings.
Sofa Sanitization in Wari — FAQs
Do you provide sofa sanitization in Wari?
Yes. Wari is inside our regular service area and our technicians work in South Dhaka every week. Call 01622-347721 or send a WhatsApp photo of your sofa and we will confirm the next available slot.
How soon can a technician reach Wari?
Lanes are narrow and often one-way; heritage buildings need careful handling and equipment is carried in. For most bookings in Wari we can schedule within 24 to 48 hours, and often the same day for urgent jobs.
Do you sanitize without cleaning?
We do not recommend it — dirt protects germs. Sanitizing works properly only on a clean surface.

Is the disinfectant safe for children?
Yes, once dry. We use fabric-safe products and ventilate the room. Keep children off the sofa until it is dry.
